Its been awhile...

Ok so it has been awhile since I posted on here so her is an update.
So I love fall and I love Halloween!  I also love pumpkins! At one point we had 6 pumpkins!
To find some of these wonderful pumpkins I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch.  So I dragged David to the HeeHaws Farm.  We had to take a really

ghetto hay ride to the pumpkin patch but it was fun.  Once we got there we literally got to cut the pumpkins off the vine.  I'm so glad David like to humor me and do things like this with me.
We then got together with Alyssha and Lar
s and carved our wond
erful pumpkins!

David carved Strong Bad (for those of you who don't know who that is go here www.homestarrunner.com)
and I carved a hunted mansion.

We are not going all out on our costumes this year and just doing kinda of simple things.  Heck we bought our costumes at the D.I.!  David is going to be mauled by some savaged beast and I got electrocuted.   I'll have to take pictures and post them here.

On a less exciting note...my car is dying! I'm so sad. We had to take it in to be looked at because there was a really bad burning smell and smoke coming out from under the hood. Well the mechanic said it was leaking oil in a really hard place to get too so even though the parts are $50 we have to pay $800 just for the labor!!!!  Well in speaking with other people this price was actually on the low end!!!! But thankfully Lars, our friend, is going to look at it and fix it for us for just the cost of the parts. Yes!!!
We are looking at selling my car and getting a newer car (thats NOT a ford) maybe a Honda Fit?

So thats our life in a nutshell over the past month!

Last Weekend

So this past weekend we had a lot of fun!
We attempted on Friday to drive up to Bridal veil falls. They were showing movies up there and the leaves are starting to change. Well by the time David got home and we got some dinner the sun was starting to set. Then when we got up there the movie they were showing was some African war dance documentary so we decide to drive to Sundance and walk around but of course the sun had set so we were walking around in the dark.

Saturday we were going to get a lot of cleaning done and attempt Sundance again.  Well we got the cleaning done but Marc and Jen called to see if we would babysit Kaitlyn. Of course we said yes! Kaitlyn is so cute and so much fun!

Sunday after sleeping in (yes we missed church, but you would too if you didn't sleep at all, felt yucky, and had church and 8 am) We finally made it up the canyon. We drove most of the Alpine Loop and it was a lot of fun to see all the leaves and to get a lot of good fresh air. I love being outside!  While we were up there we stopped and thought we would hike a little 2 miles to a waterfall. Well I was in flip flops and I had tightish jeans on so it was hard to hike up hill, and David's shoes were not the best for hiking so we made it half way before we turned around before it got too dark. But we did collect a lot of pretty leaves and berries!

:My second pumpkin I bought and leaves I collected on my table:

Monday we had Marc, Jen, and Kaitlyn back over for dinner. Which I think was really good.  It was a really good pasta with sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, artichoke hearts and sausage. Really good! And then a salad with a Gorgonzola cheese dressing. And for dessert we had flambe strawberries with a scoop cheesecake on top.  (If you want any of the recipes let me know they were really really good)
