We attempted on Friday to drive up to Bridal veil falls. They were showing movies up there and the leaves are starting to change. Well by the time David got home and we got some dinner the sun was starting to set. Then when we got up there the movie they were showing was some African war dance documentary so we decide to drive to Sundance and walk around but of course the sun had set so we were walking around in the dark.
Saturday we were going to get a lot of cleaning done and attempt Sundance again. Well we got the cleaning done but Marc and Jen called to see if we would babysit Kaitlyn. Of course we said yes! Kaitlyn is so cute and so much fun!
Sunday after sleeping in (yes we missed church, but you would too if you didn't sleep at all, felt yucky, and had church and 8 am) We finally made it up the canyon. We drove most of the Alpine Loop and it was a lot of fun to see all the leaves and to get a lot of good fresh air. I love being outside! While we were up there we stopped and thought we would hike a little 2 miles to a waterfall. Well I was in flip flops and I had tightish jeans on so it was hard to hike up hill, and David's shoes were not the best for hiking so we made it half way before we turned around before it got too dark. But we did collect a lot of pretty leaves and berries!
:My second pumpkin I bought and leaves I collected on my table:
Monday we had Marc, Jen, and Kaitlyn back over for dinner. Which I think was really good. It was a really good pasta with sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, artichoke hearts and sausage. Really good! And then a salad with a Gorgonzola cheese dressing. And for dessert we had flambe strawberries with a scoop cheesecake on top. (If you want any of the recipes let me know they were really really good)
